British Military Pattern 1859 socket bayonet. Fullered tricorn blade with ordnance WD inspection stamp to the top of the blade. Blued socket with rotating locking ring to fit the Indian army issue smooth bore Pattern 1859 musket, based on the rifled Pattern 1853 arm issued to British Troops. In good condition with very good blade. A nice example of a rare British Issue bayonet for the use of native troops serving on the sub continent.
